Affordable Web¦HostingProviders

If you have ever been online or have thought of doing so, then one of the first places you would need to call on is the service of an affordable web¦ hosting provider. This was true even in the early days of the Internet when finding an affordable web hosting provider was more a matter of chance and luck than anything else. Not only were such affordable web hosting providers hard to find, they really weren’t affordable as they charged you the heaven and the earth and everything in between to set up and run your website.

Of course those were the days when the technology, the tools and allied things were difficult to understand. But as the internet became more democratic and more and more people began experimenting with the technology and began understanding the power of the Internet, things changed for the better. And one of the critical areas in which the change was apparent was in the proliferation of affordable web hosting providers.

Today, the scenario is vastly different. Not only are there affordable web hosting providers by the dozen, most of them come with value added packages that make the price of getting online almost negligible. It is all a question of supply and demand. While the earlier days of the Internet were characterized by less supply and minimal demand, nowadays, the tables have turned. Not only are more people getting online, the more tech savvy among them are using their knowledge and minimal infusion of capital to help others get online. In fact, it is people like this who have converted themselves into affordable web hosting providers.

For normal users like you and me, it is obviously a good thing. We are able to realize our dream of getting online, simply, efficiently and best of all affordably. You no longer need to be a major multi national corporation in order to have your own website. The technology is simple, the tools are affordable and the only limitation is the desire to get online. And even major players like yahoo offer you affordable hosting solutions from as little as five dollars a month. What is that in real terms? A cup of coffee perhaps!

It would not be an exaggeration to say that affordable web hosting providers have changed the way in which most people view the Internet. As mentioned earlier, even the common man can now get online comfortably. And best of all, thanks to these affordable web hosting providers, even smaller businesses have been going online and competing with large corporates for the dollar in the online wallets of the Internet enabled world we live in.

Internet Marketing Online

No matter what your business, Internet marketing online is a tempting option. Online Internet marketing used to be a useless pursuit for all but a few businesses. So few people bought things online that there was no point in even trying. Although mass e-mail marketing already had some appeal, it was much better to put your efforts in another direction.

It is strange how quickly things have changed, and how profoundly. Internet marketing online now is crucial, even for local businesses. My business experiences provide a great example of the way that Internet marketing online can turn things around. For the past 5 years or so, I have run a gourmet restaurant. Our regulars loved us, but the word was not getting out. We tried everything. We enlisted the help of a marketing and advertising company which ran us through the whole standard program. We gave out coupons, took out ads in the yellow pages and the local papers, and even tried telephone marketing. No matter what we tried, however, nothing worked. Things were desperate. Then we tried Internet marketing online.

To say that I was amazed would be a serious understatement. I have heard of the successes of Internet marketing for online businesses, but ours is not an online business. I had no idea why Internet marketing online would even work. Why would people look for a gourmet restaurant on the Internet? It wasn't like we delivered our food. Whatever the reason, Internet marketing online seems to have turned things around. Within a month of starting to use online marketing Internet, our business was booming. There was even a lunch crowd! Normally, we only had one busy time of night: the dinner rush. Since starting Internet marketing online, however, we have literally had to turn people away. It just blows my mind!

Of course, Internet marketing online must be handled carefully. You never know who is going to link to your webpage, or what kinds of mentions you are going to get on the Internet. I have never believed that all publicity is good publicity. This may hold true for some businesses, but in the restaurant businesses things are different. If you're going to use Internet marketing online, you must be sure to use a respectable online advertising firm. It is almost impossible to devise an Internet marketing strategy if you have had no experience with the medium, so it is crucial that you find someone you trust to work with.

Adsense: Google Searcher Psychology For The Adsense Publisher

By Rudy Dhondt

Have you ever thought of the fact that the visitors to your website are always looking for a solution to solve a problem? Or maybe they are looking for the opposite, which could mean that they seek pleasure and try to find information about a topic they are very passionate about.

No matter what the Internet surfer searches for, Google will always try to find the website with the most relevant information to what the surfer typed in the search bar. The website at the top of the search results will be the best search engine optimized website with the most relevant information.

This means that Google has indexed that website for that specific search term or keyword phrase.

What does this mean for you as a Adsense publisher?

1. You will have to optimize your website for a specific topic, and use specific keywords that are relevant to that topic in the articles you publish on your website.

2. If you want to keep the visitor on your website you will have to provide good quality content, preferably original self written articles. Google will find that content and provide relevant ads.

3. If you optimize your website for Adsense ads well enough, then visitors that still do not find what they search for, will hopefully leave your website by clicking on one of the Adsense ads.

Optimizing your website for the search engines and the visitor, will be easier if you always keep the searcher in mind and if you ask yourself the following questions:

• If I want to optimize my website for a specific topic, what does Google want me to provide for the visitor?

• If I want to optimize my website for a specific topic, what information does the visitor want to find?

• In case the visitor does not find the information. Can I use this to my advantage by optimizing the layout of my website?

The above described can only be achieved by doing thorough research prior to the creation of the website. Google will reward you for delivering quality information and will give your website a high rank in the search results.

Always remember that if you keep the visitor in mind, creating quality Adsense websites will be so much easier.

Starting A Home Internet Business On A Small Budget

By Bill Naugle

There are more home Internet businesses then ever before and each with its own unique twist. The average person is looking for a new way to make more money in order to supplement their income. The continued rising costs of living in our society have made it difficult to make ends meet. Extra income is the answer for many people. Home Internet businesses have its appeal for the go-getter who has ideas and zeal to step out of the ordinary and start something new.

Most people on a tight budget will find it hard to start a home Internet business because of the initial costs. Is it possible for someone to start a home Internet business with very little money, like about a hundred dollars or less? Maybe if you had the right information you would see that this is very possible.

Some entrepreneur’s may feel inadequate in accomplishing the required effort involved in becoming a home Internet businessperson. Is the work easy or difficult in starting a home base business? What kind of qualifications do I need? With helpful information almost anyone can own and operate a home Internet business.

Where does an enthusiastic person set on starting a home Internet business begin with obtaining the appropriate information on the subject of successful Internet business? You can find many articles online about home-based businesses, online businesses and make money at home businesses. You will also find many Websites telling you that you can give them a small start-up fee and they will get you started in your very own home internet business.

I have found that from experience that articles and Websites that claim to do it all for you, really do not have all the information that is required to get you started in a home internet business. Many of these Websites need your start-up fee in order to keep their own Internet business going. Articles can be a good place to start with your search for a home-based business.

I have found ebooks on the subject of home based businesses to be far better then many articles or Websites just trying to sell you their program so they can profit by receiving your initial start-up fee. Ebooks have more of the appropriate information on home-based businesses. Ebooks give you so much more detail and clearer instructions on how to start a home based business that will be successful. Ebooks are also inexpensive to purchase. Type in “Emoney Ebooks” on your favorite search engine and see what is really available.

How do you determine what kind of business you should be involved with? You can start by simply asking yourself a few questions. What do you really like to do? What are you really good at? What kind of talent or field of education do you have? What interests you most in your spare time? You probably already know what product or service you would like to sell on the Internet.

The key is simply making your service or product known to the consumer, customer, and buyer. There are a few different ways of doing this. Some people work on getting their Website ranked high on the search engines for more visibility. This will definitely get more sales.

I have found from experience that you can begin your home Internet business by creating your own Website. This is really not as difficult as it seems. You can purchase a domain name from $5.00 to $30.00. You can find a hosting company that will charge as little as $5.00 per month for Website hosting if you will build it. These Website hosting companies will give you a template so you can build from there. Then all you need is your text and some photos or graphics and you will have your very own Website. You can accomplish all of this in one day. I hope these guidelines will help you in your search for the perfect home Internet business.

The Best Website Traffic Is Free Website Traffic

By Bruce Swedal

Are you looking to generate more website traffic to you site? If you are the internet has a variety of available options and some are even free. Yes free and we all know that the best website traffic is free website traffic.

Don’t get me wrong, there are many companies willing to take your money in order to try and increase the traffic to your site. If you don’t have the time to do it yourself, that may be just what you’re looking for. If you do have the time to learn, the best way to go is to generate traffic to your site for much, much less or even free.

One of the current trends in generating traffic to websites is with a blog. Most successful business sites have a blog and it is becoming a necessity for successful online businesses. In some cases business even hire writers to generate unique content for the blog. The blog can show clients a small taste of what your company has to offer so keep it interesting.

Search engine optimization is another way to get free traffic to your site. You will need to know how they work so you might have to study up. If you are willing to do some experimenting, you may not need to hire an expert. Optimize your site so the search engines can easily see what is there. Add fresh and interesting content so the web community finds value in your site. This should generate links to your site and to get additional links, get listed in quality web directories.

If you want free traffic to your website you need to have a good site with relevant and unique content. Your site should be easy to use and navigate while providing unique content for visitors. If your site is not attractive to visitors, no one is going to visit more than once. Provide a good site with good content and a good product. Generate links to your site for visitors to find you, your traffic will climb and with it the success of your website.

Some links to your site will come naturally if your site has good content. Most businesses augment those natural links with well placed links in quality directories. Quality directories market to bring traffic to their sites. That traffic can easily search the categories to find the exact business they are looking for and follow the link to your site. Marketing online is about giving potential clients as many paths to your website as possible so they can find you.

Starting An Internet Home Business

By Allan Barker

Starting your own business is a goal of many people, particularly if you want to work from home and give up the daily rat race. By carefully using the internet in a planned and cautious manner you could successfully create an online home business with a relatively small budget and only a little initial knowledge.

The internet provides many ways to earn money and having a business that will generate a reasonable income is within reach of the average home based business person. However, you will need to avoid the many Get Rich Quick schemes out there that are only after a fast buck. These schemes are typically pyramid schemes where the initial promoters make a quick fortune but the thousands
of people sucked in at the bottom of the tree lose the lot.

So how do you go about creating a successful online home based business?

The key to making money online is knowing how and where to start. Without the right starting point you will waste precious time and a ton of money.

The business opportunities listed on our main site will give you a great start and help you to achieve online success. See the link to our site in the Authors' credits following this article.

If you are considering starting you own online home business, then there are a number of things that you should consider.

1. Research Existing Opportunities

Go onto Google and type in "home business" or "home based business". You will see thousands of opportunities presented. How do you tell the good ones from the bad ones?

Firstly you should look at what the business is selling. Any business MUST sell a product or service in order to stay around for the long term. If the business is just selling memberships in a multi-level pyramid scheme then you may be well advised to be very cautious.

Select a short list of likely looking businesses and then check them out. Look up their history on "WHOIS" and "DNS Stuff" to see how long they've been in operation. Generally, the longer the better.

Look them up on Alexa and find out their traffic rankings, to see if they are popular with buyers. Look up their page rank to see if their site is judged by Google to have good content. Look up their back links on Alexa or Yahoo to see how many sites link to them and if those sites are good "authority sites" with high page ranks themselves.

Now look them up in Forums and Article Directories. See if people are saying good things or bad things about them.

If you can, find out something about their size, number of members or affiliates, level of sales, level of support and any other general feedback you can find out about them. See if they are a reputable company by the sort of things other people say about them on the web.

There is plenty of research material available on the web about almost any home business opportunity. You just need to know where to look and hopefully at the conclusion of your research you will have identified several ethical, viable and prosperous opportunities for you to try out.

2. Research the Market for the Product or Service being Sold

Who are the buyers for this product or service? Where do they come from? How do you reach them so that they know the product or service exists?

How much of this product or service will they want? Will there be a continuing market for this product or service? Remember the steam train? That used to have a huge market, but not any more. Make sure that the product or service you are going to be selling has not reached the end of its life cycle.

What about competitors for this product or service? Is the market already flooded, like portable radios? Or is it a brand new market like i-Pods? The best new product examples on the web in recent years are You Tube and My Space, so look for products where you can see a genuine need and where you can see that it will grow or stay around for a long time.

Will there be repeat business for this product or service, or is it a one time capital purchase item? Both types are OK, but you need to know which type you are selling, e.g., people won't usually buy a dozen refrigerators for the average family home, but they might buy a dozen videos or CD's.

3. Research the Effort vs. Payoff Requirement

Some businesses on the web pay - like reading paid emails or doing paid surveys - but the amount of time taken to earn a large amount may not be feasible for you.

On the other hand some products like electronic e-books can be set up to sell themselves in an automated manner, thus giving you the maximum return for the least effort.

You should also check out eBay stores. Some people make millions in sales each year just by building up a successful eBay business. However it does take time, effort and the ability to pick, source, market and sell the right products in order to make that sort of money.

You should try and estimate as closely as you can, how much personal effort will be needed to establish the home business, and how much personal effort is needed to run the business.

Creating a website and selling products on the website is not a sure-fire way to make money, unless
it is done properly, so you must do as much research as possible.

4. Now Develop Your Business

Starting a home based business? Well, here are few of the key steps required:

1. Business Plan

If you fail to plan you plan to fail. Set yourself 5 clear objectives in a business plan. Repeat those objectives to yourself every day. Then vizualise the actions you will need to take to achieve those objectives. Put those actions into place and then check your results. If the actions are not achieving your goals, then change your actions until they do. Remember to re-state your objectives every day, check the results and then keep adjusting your actions. The secret is to keep vizualising, keep monitoring and keep adjusting. If you do this you will succeed.

2. Business Name

Come up with a unique name for your business. Make it a name that you can register a website for and find keywords to match.

3. Domain Name

Now register a domain, using the unique business name as part of the domain name, e.g., www(dot)mybusiness(dot)com. See the Domain Names section on our site for help with picking a good Domain Name registrar and then register your new domain.

4. Website

Now that you have your domain name you will need a website. See the section on Best Web Hosts on our site to pick the best hosting package for you. For a free site you might start with a free blog, either from Blogster or Google's Blogger.

5. Blog

Now that you have a website, also set up a free Blog, using the same domain name as part of your blog name. Post informational entries to your blog every day if you can. Do not just post links to your website or your business opportunities or you may get banned
as a blog spammer.

6. Affiliates

Sign up to become an affiliate for other businesses that are on the net. Only sign up with the companies that you would honestly recommend to anyone. All that you have to do is refer your customers to these sites. Once one of you referrals makes a purchase, you receive a small payment. With some of the affiliate programs the fee is quite large.

7. Google Ads

Sign up for a Google Adsense account, to get Google ads placed on your website.

8. Google Search

Works close to the same way as the ads. People use your search tool, make a purchase and then you are compensated.

9. Amazon

Another great tool that will trickle in a few dollars here and there, all for 10 minutes of your time putting a little code into your website and Amazon does the rest.

10. Selling Ad Space

You could sell ad space if you have a site that has high traffic. See the link to Adbrite on our home page to see an example of how to do this.

11. Build Your List

The secret really is in the list. Sign up with an Autoresponder service, create a lead-capture form for your site and start building your own list.

12. Build your Traffic

Join Safelists and Traffic Exchanges in order to promote your new home business and drive buyers to your offer pages.

13. Sell Subscriptions to Your Newsletter

Develop a newsletter that has high demand, then you may be able to sell subscriptions to the newsletter.

14. Selling Ad Space in Your Newsletter

Then promote it through E-Zine Directories and charge for ads and solo mailings to your list. Sell ad space in in your newsletter. The same as with ad space on your website. Just put a box on your newsletter with a note inside it that says "Your Banner Could Go Here" Then have a page that tells how many subscriber that you have, how often your newsletter goes out and what type of content it usually contains plus the price per ad.

15. Selling E-Books

Do you know something about your craft or hobby that you know people would pay to learn as well? Then sell it in an e-book. What a great way to make a little extra money. You take the time to write a good quality e-book then just fill the orders. You could even set it up so that once the e-book order has been processed and paid for, it goes out automatically using an auto responder without you even having to lift a finger, except to go to the bank to collect your money. You can also get heaps of free e-books on the web, with re-sale rights. Download these and sell them on your site or use them as free give-aways to your newsletter subscribers.

You won't get rich with any one of these programs, but you just may make a nice little sum every month with a combination of all of them.

Here's to your success.

Internet Marketing Strategies For A Successful Online Presence

By Moe Tamani

The world of Internet is infinite and the options of Internet marketing are many but only a few can create the right impact. Internet marketing is a strategy and tool for enhancing your online business to drive more visitors or customers to your website. It is a definitive way to reach out to your target audience and position your product, service or business to create maximum visibility. If you are able to create effective Internet marketing strategies then rest assured that your website will rank among the top on search engines and bring in customers, which will lead to revenue generation or sales.

A strong marketing strategy will include services like search engine optimization, pay per click/PPC campaigns, and other types of advertising campaigns like banner advertising etc. But is it really enough? How will your Internet marketing strategy be different from that of your competitor? How is your Internet marketing strategy going to target your prospective clients? These are some of the fundamental questions that you need to ask before you actually design or implement your strategy.

The best way to create Internet marketing strategies that will address the above issues and boost sales is by going through a five level strategy process. This five level process will help in building trust and boost confidence by satisfying the psychological needs of a consumer or a potential customer when he or she is browsing through the selection and purchasing process.

A successful Internet marketing strategy is the one that not only creates a niche for your company in the market but also achieves in enhancing the online sales process. So let us start with the fist level, which is:

Marketing to your target audience: When you create a strategy that is targeted at your target audience then you are basically prospecting. It basically means that your internet marketing services are bringing qualified traffic right to your online storefront. You can achieve this by making your strategy revolve around tools and methods like pay per click campaigns, search engine optimization, and other forms of advertisements. Once you have your traffic, the next step is to offer a unique selling proposition.

The second level is to build credibility and maintain high levels of trust: Trust as we all know is extremely fragile and losing a loyal customer means that in the long-term, you may lose more. Hence it is extremely important to build credibility and create trust. An Internet marketing strategy that does not include this aspect or psychological factor will be a complete failure in the long run. It is actually more difficult to build trust over the virtual space than when you are meeting a customer face to face. To create trust and credibility, your marketing strategy should include the creation of attractive and informative website content. The content needs to be keyword driven to help in SEO.

The third level of strategy is courting the buyer: If you have successfully implemented the first two levels then you will definitely get your target audience to visit your website. But the question is on how you can qualify the prospective customer or visitor. The most important thing to remember is that the visitor is there on your website because he or she has a specific requirement. An Internet marketing research shows that every 7 out of 10 visitors visit an e-commerce site with the intention of buying a service or a product. Hence, your internet marketing strategy should include some innovative ways by which you can escort your customer through your business offerings and actually show them what they need so that they end up buying more than just what they set out to buy.

The fourth level is about presentation of the service or product: This plays a key role because if the presentation of your services is not appealing, informative or does not provide a solution then you will lose your targeted traffic. At the end of the day, you can devise some of the best Internet marketing strategies and run SEO campaigns but if your presentation is bad then your sales process will suffer. Don’t put too much information, keep it relevant.

The last level of a strong Internet marketing strategy is closing the sale: Closing the sale can take place only if you have worked out your payment gateway and it should not confuse the visitor. Include all the relevant information necessary and indicate different payment options. The more the number of payment options, the easier it will be for a visitor to pay.

Internet Marketing Suggestions - Increasing Free Web Site Traffic

By Deanna Mascle

There are plenty of ways to get free web site traffic, and you'll want to use those ways most often. Free web site traffic is out there for the taking --all you have to do is know how to lure it to your site. However, there are other ways to increase site traffic if your efforts to get free web site traffic are not meeting your expectations or if you simply don't have time to jump through all the hoops.

If free web site traffic is letting you down, you can always simply buy traffic. It's an amazing thing -- to think that people have actually built businesses around getting traffic to other people's web sites -- but businesses that offer just that service are popping up all over the place. Just think of it like this: Marketing experts must have seemed like strange beasts to the first business owners who encountered them, but they make their clients millions of dollars annually -- on business they would not have otherwise enjoyed.

People who buy traffic, as opposed to depending entirely on free web site traffic, are often people who have third-party ads on their sites. If they make their money at least partly by ad clicks, then this endeavor may be a good deal -- not to mention that it ups their page view counts. Whether you think this is appropriate for your particular site is up to you, but you can buy traffic if you so desire.

There are packages and services that will help increase free web site traffic, such as Traffic Builder. The software increases site SEO by: providing advice and suggestions, submitting sites to search engines and monitoring keyword usage, as well as the popularity of your link. There are other benefits to using Traffic Builder, and the service generally saves time that would otherwise be needed to increase free web site traffic manually.

Even if you take this route for attracting free web site traffic, and even if you decide to buy traffic on top of that -- you must not forget to go out there and hustle your site to viewers through link and banner exchanges. Research the best methods of letting people know your site exists, as well. For instance, it is much better to embed your links naturally throughout the text than to simply have nothing but a list of links. But most importantly, you cannot forget the # 1 rule for increasing web site traffic: offer great content. It will do absolutely no good to get web site traffic -- if you can't keep that web site traffic on your site, where it belongs.

Finding The Best Web Hosting Company

By Carolyn Clayton

What is the best invention this century? Of course it is the super information highway – the Internet. What an amazing piece of technology, it connects people from around the world and allows people to learn and communicate. It is basically the biggest multimedia library in the world and it is free! What more could you want? If you like communicating then the internet was made for you. The internet is a world wide phenomenon that has been in the headlines since it first began. There has been lots of stuff written about the good and the bad aspects of the net but everything in life has a paradox so it is hardly surprising.

One of the best parts of the internet is that it is so easy to have your own space where you can share with the world your own likes dislikes etc. Maybe you are good at something and would like to share you talent with the rest of the world. Then the internet is ideal for sharing this. All you need is a bit of web hosting space and you are off. You don’t even need any website or designing skills; you can use Microsoft Word or any publishing software and create you website like any other document. As long as you can use a computer and am willing to learn a little it really is easy.

People do seem to get confused when it comes to domain names and web hosting. So what are they? Well to have a website on the internet the first thing you need to buy is your domain name, this is the www. Mysite.com part. Then you need “web hosting” which is paying for a company to store you website on their server. A server is a computer that is on all the time that “hosts” your website, in other words stores the website. You can make your own computer become a server but then for people to view your website at all times this needs to be on all the time, which is why most people use a hosting company. You pay them to make sure the site is online at all times.

Not sure which web hosting company should you go for? There are hundreds and all trying to get your business. You need to work out which company is offering the most and at what price. Not all companies offer telephone support. This is a must for any novice and is most important, you want to be able to pick up the phone and ask for help when needed. You want the option to upgrade your storage space. You may only want a small site initially but if your site does well and you need more space you want to easily upgrade. You may also need extra bandwidth when your site gets more hits.

You may want even more, like a content management system which allows you to simple add, edit and delete your own content without any knowledge of html, php or any programming language. All you see is a nice user friendly interface with simple usability. At a fee some companies offer this software and it is a great and fast way of adding content to your website.

Maybe you want to sell products over the internet which will mean you will need an ecommerce website with a shopping trolley feature. This is all very good if you have the programming skills necessary to create this, but few of us do in reality. So to have this feature we need to pay for this. Some web design companies offer this although the price can vary.

So what happens once you have your eCommerce website with shopping trolley facilities and you have the hosting you seem all set but your getting few visitors. You may be wondering why no one is actually viewing your site. Well this is because of the vast amount of websites and competition out there. Site engine optimsation is a full time job in its self, I know I do it! You can pay a company or someone to do all the hard work for you but it takes times and the results may not be instant.

Finding a hosting company that offers all these things is a tough task. There are some though. A company that offers domain registration, web hosting, web design, optimization, 24/7 customer support and email is the ideal company.

Learn The Truth About The Rich Jerk And His Dirty Tactics

Author: Karin Manning

The Rich Jerk has become famous for basically being a jerk. However,
are any of the tips in his Rich Jerk ebook of any use to internet and
affiliate marketers? This article will discuss the truth about the Rich
Jerk and his tactics.

One of the quickest and easiest ways to make money online is by selling
other people's products. However, there is also a lot of competition
so it is important that you stay on top of the latest and greatest
affiliate marketing techniques and tips to ensure that you stay ahead of
the game. The Rich Jerk attempted to reveal these tips to affiliate
marketers worldwide but was he really successful?

The Rich Jerk caught the attention of marketers worldwide not so much
because of his skill but because of his arrogance and his attitude. His
philosophy is basically I'm rich, you're not, I'm a jerk, who cares,
that got me rich!

Even if his book is useless he has made money as a result of his in
your face marketing. This form of marketing has another name known as
anti-marketing or negative marketing. His launch campaign is probably one
of the most effective we've seen in a long time. However, what about his
product?

I've read his guide and it does obviously have some not so well known
techniques and tactics for earning money online. Is it worth the money
though? It probably really depends where you are in your businesses.

I've found recently that more and more ebooks seem to be targeted to
beginner marketers rather than revealing advanced strategies for seasoned
internet marketers. However, that being said, the Rich Jerk ebook does
try to show you how sometimes you need to think outside the box to get
the attention of internet surfers who are much more internet savvy
than they used to be and have already fallen for many advertising tricks
along the way.

The trouble is so many people have now copied his technique that it is
no longer unusual but more of the norm.

If anything, the Rich Jerk has demonstrated how you can launch and
promote a product in a certain way. However, does it build a reputable
brand? Does it make you want to join his list? Is he building an ongoing
relationship with visitors and consumers? I don't know.

His techniques are easy to duplicate and you can get started with it
right away. However, I have read much more formative affiliate marketing
guides than this one and I have seen better products at a lesser price,
particularly for people new to affiliate marketing.

Making money on the internet

Making money in the new millennium is quite different than ever before. I say this simply because now days there are countless possibilities. Whether or not you seek employment through a large company or work for the "man" is totally up to you. Our current world is filled with choices. Many of these nuances are related directly to the Internet. Therefore if you already have a computer in your home and high-speed web access, then it's likely you can begin earning an income online. Millions of individuals already make money on the Internet. There's no reason you can't do the very same thing. So, are you ready to start earning a living from the comfort of your home?

One of the most common ways you can make money on the Internet is with ad revenue. While most of the world still lacks this knowledge, there are easy ways to make money with major search engines like Google and Yahoo. Both search engines offer free programs that anyone can sign up for. With Google it's Google adsense, and with Yahoo it's Yahoo publisher. Take advantage of these revenue services if you have any websites, web pages or blogs. It only takes a second to place free ads on your web pages. This way when web surfers land on your page, they have the option of clicking on the ads. If they do, you earn a portion of ad revenue. This money goes directly into your Google or Yahoo account, depending on which one you signed up for. Feel free to sign up for both. Ad placement and ad revenue is a wonderful way to supplement your income or flat-out make a living from home. A number of self-employed individuals make a great living doing this daily.

Affiliate programs are another excellent way to make money on the Internet. What this entails is placing ads for products on your website, blogs or web pages. Simply inquire about a specific product and find out how much you can earn by selling it on your personal site. Some companies offer up to 50 percent of each sale. Many others will offer 10, 20 or 30 percent of each product sale. Naturally this can add up to a lot of dough. Maybe it's time you began your at-home, online capital venture. There's no doubt that you can make money on the Internet. All it takes is a little time, effort and initiative.

How To Make Money

Most people used to think that there was no easy secret to how to make money. If you asked anyone how to get money, they would say work a straight job, work hard, and advance in your career. Of course, you can still make money through hard work alone, but more and more people look for shortcuts nowadays. Although get rich quick ideas have always been popular, the Internet has made them a bigger deal than ever. There are many different ways to make money online that, even a decade ago, people would never have dreamed of.

One of the easiest and most classic ways to make your money work for you is by making high stakes investments. Investing in stocks, real estate, business ventures, or other areas of human endeavor is a great way to make extra money. Even if you only have a few hundred dollars to invest, if you are wise about it (and a little bit lucky) you can turn it into thousands practically overnight. Of course, this technique is not without risk. Anyone who tells you they have a secret to how to make money and that it is a risk free, guaranteed venture is not being entirely honest with you.

Of course, if you like to work from home, there are a lot of ways to make money on the Internet that you might not have thought of. There are some people who know how to make money in second life or other online games. This might seem strange to you if you've never seen it in practice, but it really works. People can make thousands of dollars overnight by selling various goods and services in virtual worlds. Even if these services have no real world correlate, people will pay real money for them.

You can also use Google Adwords to make money. If you have a popular blog, you are wasting your time if you aren't making some money on it. Even if your blog isn't at all related to any commercial products, there are still many experts on how to make money who will tell you that it can be a gold mine if utilized property. It takes patience and dedication, but I have seen it done before. There are people who have made millions simply doing what they love and letting the money roll in. With a little bit of creativity and ingenuity, this could be you!

How To Get Google Adsense To Target A Specific
Section Of A Web Page

Author: Rusty Ford

Google has added a great new feature. It is called section
targeting. This allows you to add html code to your page to tell
the Adsense crawler what section of the page you would like the
crawler to pay attention to when choosing the adds for your
page. This can be a very important feature especially if you
have a large web site. For example I have a large arthritis
website. The term arthritis is in my URL. The title of the page
has arthritis in it. The shared borders have links with the term
arthritis in it. Unfortunately not every page in the site is
about arthritis. This is typical of many sites. What happens is
that the crawler sees arthritis in the top shared border and in
the left shared border and even on pages that are not about
arthritis I get arthritis adds.

If you use shared borders or frames you can tell the crawler
what section of the page you want it to look at. I begin the
code after the tag at the beginning of the content section and
before the tag at the end of the content section. This way the
crawler looks at the content for that specific page. As a result
each page gets more accurate ads distributed to it.

You can also add the code to just a section of the body of the
page. If you have one or more paragraphs you want to high light
then add the code just before the paragraph and after the
paragraph that you want to high light.

Below is from the help pages of Google Adsense. This explains
how to add the code.

What is section targeting and how do I implement it?

Section targeting allows you to suggest sections of your text
and HTML content that you'd like us to emphasize or downplay
when matching ads to your site's content. By providing us with
your suggestions, you can assist us in improving your ad
targeting. We recommend that only those who are at least a
little familiar with HTML attempt to implement section
targeting.

To implement section targeting, you'll need to add a set of
special HTML comment tags to your code. These tags will mark the
beginning and end of whichever section(s) you'd like to
emphasize or de-emphasize for ad targeting.

The HTML tags to emphasize a page section take the following
format:

You can also designate sections you'd like to have ignored by
adding a (weight=ignore) to the starting tag:

With these tags added to your HTML code, your final code may
look like the following:

Section targeting

This is the text of your web page. Most of your content resides
here.

You can use section targeting to make suggestions about as many
sections of a page as you like. However, please be aware that we
can't guarantee results, and that it may take up to 2 weeks
before our crawlers take into account any changes you've made to
your site.

In order to properly implement this feature, you'll need to
include a significant amount of content within the section
targeting tags. Including insufficient content may result in
less relevant ads or PSAs. In addition, please keep in mind that
this feature should only be used to emphasize significant
sections of your site's relevant content. It is against our
program policies to manipulate the ad targeting to result in ads
that are not relevant to the content of your pages

Importance of Seo Content

Search engine optimization is a skilled job and the writer has to have
certain attributes to his writing to make it a readable yet enjoyable
piece of art. It surely takes a lot of creative efforts as well as
precise writing to be able to graduate to an effective SEO content writer.

Content writers have a few challenges around them and one of the
toughest is to be original each time they are writing and yet keep it simple
and to the point. Content writing is always done keeping the audience
in the mind. It is very important to know the subject you are writing
about and also the audience you are targeting. There has to be adequate
research done on the topic you are writing about and also a lot of
editing and proof reading suiting it to the SEO standards. So your job is
done if your client is happy with what you have written and he
acknowledges the fact that he has got what he was looking for from your
document.

There are few simple ways to be an effective content writer. Following
these instructions would ensure that you meet the requirements of a
professional content writer.

The first thing a content writer must do is to think from the
perspective of the target audience intended by the client. Always think what the
requirements are and why the document is being created. Empathize
with your target audience to communicate better. This lets you to analyze
what the client is expecting out of your writing. At any point in time
if you are not aware of what the deliverables, ensure a communication
with the customer and get clarity on the issue of communication. You
wont be able to do justice to your document unless you know what the
customer requires and target audiences understand. Reaching and convincing
the target audience will be the sole aim of you as the writer.

Always write content that you have understood. Complete enough research
around the topic you are addressing. Ask the client for some useful
links and information about the product thats in picture. This would make
sure you are writing what is required and not something far away from
your clients expectation. Also make sure your facts mentioned in the
document are crosschecked. Its better to check the document a 100 times
before publishing.

SEO content writing is much different from other content writing. The
text in SEO has to include all the keywords and the text has to be
written in such way that it should help optimizing the searches performed.
Its very important to be precise yet simple and the text has to be
attractive. The content has to be relative and informative. The keywords
have to be placed strategically to make sure your page comes up on the
first page of the search engines.

7 Tips For Getting Listed In Search Engines

Author: Jon Roussel

Getting listed in search engines is very important for internet
marketers. A high search engine ranking for your website is
critical if you want to generatel your own leads that will
convert into signups and sales. This article discusses the keys
to getting listed in search engines.

The higher your page comes up in search engine results, the
greater the traffic that is directed to your website. That's
what search engine optimization is about.

1. To increase search engine rankings, the words on your home
page's title bar should include the most important keywords or
phrases, one of which would include your business name.

2. Then click on all your links and examine the title bars on
the pages you access. Each title bar on every single page of
your site should contain the most important keywords and phrases
taken from the page itself. However, avoid very long strings of
keyword. It is usually best to keep them to six words or less.

3. Your website content also plays a crucial role in getting
listed in search engines. Search engines generally list sites
that contain quality content The text on your site must contain
the most important keywords, the words that potential customers
will be typing into search engines to find your site.

4. Each page on your site should contain around 250 words, but
if this is not desirable due to your design, shoot for at least
100 carefully chosen words. This text is essential to achieve a
high page ranking.

5. To find out if your text is in HTML format, take your cursor
and try to highlight a word or two. If you can to do this, the
text is HTML.

6. Next are what is called meta tags. These are just simple
code. They only have a small effect in getting listed in search
engines.

7. Finally, we come to the issue of link popularity. This is
very important in terms of search engine rankings. Almost all
search engines use link popularity to rank your website. Link
popularity is based on the quality of the sites you have linked
to from your links page.

If you type in "free link popularity check" in a popular search
engine, the search engine will then show you what sites are
linked to your site.

Linking to popular, quality sites not only boosts your search
engine ranking, but it also directs more quality traffic to your
website.

Search engine rankings are extremely important for a successful
Internet marketing campaign. Before you go out and hire a search
engine optimization company, try taking some of the simple steps
listed above, and see if you can't boost your rankings yourself.
Don't ever ignore this all-important factor in Internet
marketing.

To check your link popularity, an easy and free tool to try is

Internet Marketing: Are You Using These Top 7 Resources
to Get Traffic?

Author: Jinger Jarrett

The number one question I always get from my readers is: "How do I get
more traffic to my site?" What these sites all seem to have in common
is that the owner has failed to do two things: build a list and market.

If you add a subscription box to your site or blog, and then start
driving traffic to your site, then the list building will take care of
itself.

Below are some of my best traffic strategies for continuously driving a
lot of traffic to your site and building your list.

1. Search Engines
If you plan to optimize your website, then use keyword phrases that
have at least three to four words. These keyword phrases are more
targeted, and visitors are more likely to buy. You'll also have less
competition for these keywords.

Make sure you submit your site to the top search engines. Otherwise, it
could take months to get spidered by Google and Yahoo. With MSN, if
you don't submit, your site may never show up as MSN doesn't index every
site that is submitted to it.

2. Directories
Directories are an easy way to build backlinks without creating
content. It's also an easy way to raise your rankings in the search engines.

Although you should submit to as many general directories as possible,
it's also a good idea to get included in as many directories on your
topic as possible. Since these directories are more targeted, your
visitors will be more targeted.

3. Free Classifieds
It's getting harder and harder to make money online without a website
unless you want to spend money. If you're just starting out, then free
classifieds are the way to go because you can test and track your
efforts.

Make sure you read the guidelines for each site and follow the
guidelines closely. Otherwise you could get banned from the site or accused of
spamming.

Write a good ad and headline, and again, test and track.

4. Forums
With forums you can build relationships. Forums are also a good place
to look for ideas to find out what others want to buy. Ask questions,
answer questions, build relationships, and get ideas for your business.

5. Squidoo
This site offers one of the easiest ways online to make money, and you
can build these little "minisites" fast. Since these little sites rank
high on Google, it's another easy way to get the message out about your
products and services or even promote affiliate programs. It's also an
easy backlink technique for your site.

6. Social Networking
This internet marketing technique is like forums on steroids. Not only
can you build relationships, but you can also advertise your business,
join groups and forums, and use Web 2.0 resources like blogs and videos
to get your message out.

7. Social Bookmarking
Social bookmarking is building a list of your favorite links. If you're
a business owner, then you're also submitting news and information
about your business.

With social bookmarking, you're actually building backlinks. This is
also a way to share what you know, and social bookmarking is the
considered to be the new search.

Social bookmark sites are where visitors go now to find what they're
looking for. It includes sites like Digg, Del.icio.us, and others.

Article Writing: Duplicate Content VS. Reaching Your
Readers

Author: Jinger Jarrett

I certainly wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for all of the
wonderful article directories that have published my articles.

By publishing my articles, these article directories have allowed me to
syndicate my articles on hundreds, possibly thousands of websites
throughout the internet.

These directories have also allowed me to brand myself as an expert,
build valuable backlinks to my websites, and share my knowledge with my
potential customers and readers.

The problem these days seems to be those product owners who are more
interested in creating phony trends than they are real products.

These products are supposed to tell you if you have "duplicate content"
in your articles, sales letters, and other materials you're posting
online.

The problem here is that there are only so many words in the language
you speak. Someone, sooner or later, will use the same phrase to say
something.

I highly doubt that the search engines are so interested in whether or
not you're using a phrase or two that someone else has used.

Now I'm not saying that duplicate content isn't a problem or can't be a
problem. I'm sure that the major search engines have probably dropped
some articles, or maybe even article directories from their primary
search.

This doesn't necessarily mean that it was because of duplicate content.
Unless you ask, you can't be sure.

However, your concern as an article writer shouldn't be about how many
times you have a particular article indexed in the search engines. Your
primary concern should be getting your articles in front of the eyes
of as many readers as you possibly can.

People buy; search engines don't.

This means that you should post your articles to as many article
directories as possible so that your articles have the widest reach possible.

Again, it's about reach.

We all have our favorite article directories, and if your potential
readers don't use the article directories you're posting to, then you've
missed out. You've missed reaching a reader, publisher, or someone else.

The bottom line is about convenience. Make it convenient for your
reader to find your articles.

There's also the issue of providing value. Google's policy is that your
site, and therefore your content, should provide value to those who
are searching for it.

If you concern yourself with providing value for your readers, rather
than just trying to promote your business, or make a sale, it will
definitely make a difference in your bottom line.

Your initial goal should be to find out what your readers are looking
for and then give it to them. Give them what they want. Provide value in
the process.

If you use "White Hat" tactics to promote your business, you'll
succeed, and you'll stay successful long after those who use unethical
techniques fail and disappear.

Your readers won't become your customers if you don't treat them right.
Show them respect. Help them solve their problems. By providing
helpful articles, you can lead your readers to your paid content.

How to Create a Content Rich Website

Author: Kevin Sinclair

If you have a website and you aren't worried about having solid, rich
content, you are missing out on one of the best tools to create revenue
that any website owner could have. Having a content-rich website is a
must when it comes to making any money from the web these days; if you
don't have useful content on your site you don't stand a chance to have
solid revenue coming in from your site and who couldn't use some extra
money?

Article writing is one of the most solid ways of garnering traffic from
the web. This can be done either by your hand or by hiring a
ghostwriter to write the articles for you. This is more of an accepted practice
than it seems, as not everybody has the ability to be a master writer
and that is okay. After all, it is important to write articles because
you want to establish yourself as an expert in your field and if your
articles display a lack of writing ability that can definitely ruin your
chances of being regarded as an expert.

Also, if you are going to have a content rich website that matters, you
have to make sure that your writing is targeted toward a specific
audience, and that it is that specific audience that is going to be going
to and using your website. Create the type of website that your audience
will want to bookmark. You can only do this by finding a niche and
sticking to it, and catering either to a specific audience or everybody.

The only way that a person can create a content rich website is to do
the research. Use research tools like overture to find out what keywords
people are hitting up in search of information pertaining to your
niche and make sure that you make use of the appropriate keywords when it
comes to your content. Without keyword rich content, you can only hope
that word of your site reaches the world by word of mouth, because when
it comes time to use search engines most users will have no idea that
you exist.

You can also drive traffic to your site by using the same search engine
optimization techniques to create content for the article directories.
Article directories are important because they gain valuable backlink
traffic to your site, and people will move from the article to the site
with ease. This is an excellent and cost effective way of helping to
drive website traffic to your site, because most article directories are
free and if you have time, there are tons and tons of directories that
you can submit articles to. As a matter of fact, some services will
even distribute your articles to the directories for you, so you won't
have to worry about having to go through the trouble.

No matter how you use your article content or whether you choose to do
it yourself or hire a ghostwriter, there are certain things that a
content rich website should and should not include in order to be the most
effective for its intended use just as there is a certain way to go
about it.

First of all, make sure to write in short, concise sentences that any
reader can easily understand without having to decipher through a
million and one punctuation marks. Use words that people all over can
understand and try to keep it free of slang or words that only appeal to
people from a certain area of the world or United States; unless they are
pertinent to the particular audience you are looking to get the attention
of.

Also, if you want to keep your reader moving through your article, be
sure to write in short paragraphs of just a few sentences and include as
many lists, headings, and bulleted points as you can; this gets the
attention of the reader the most and makes your content jump out and
matter.

Creating rich content for your website is what is going to matter in
the end. Colorful pictures and a real purpose are great, but rich content
that gets traffic is key to the success of any type of website out
there. Be sure to make your content as rich as it can be, and you will
find that you have more traffic than you ever thought possible.

Making Money Online With Affiliate Marketing

Author: Alan Mater

Affiliate marketing is a system of making money by selling
someone else's products or services and getting paid a
percentage for each sale. If you own a product or service, you
can build your own team of affiliates to help sell them for you,
and you would pay your affiliates for their help. As an
affiliate you can also make money by placing advertisements on
your website or relevant article content with the purpose to
send traffic to the advertiser. The affiliate receives money or
a percentage of money based on how much traffic he or she sends
in the other site owner's direction.

Making money online by way of affiliate marketing has been
gaining in popularity and shows no signs of slowing down. If you
want to make affiliate marketing work for you, then provide
enough incentives for your affiliates to encourage and support
them in their hard work and consistent efforts. The search
optimization firms you hire as well as those who work in the
advertising department are important but so are the affiliates
so figure out how you can pay them as high a commission as
possible because they deserve it.

Affiliate marketing is a way of using one website to bring
focus and attention to another and studies show that it does
work. It is important for affiliate managers to always put their
most creative foot forward by showing plenty of ingenuity when
it comes to how they promote the websites that are part of their
affiliate marketing campaign. Banners, buttons and web links are
all fine and work great but it is important to think outside of
the box in order to drive more traffic to a site.

Here are some promotional creatives that can work wonders when
it comes to affiliate marketing- newsletter ads, classified ads,
product reviews, product photographs, product screenshots,
articles and tips that have embedded affiliate links within
them, email signatures, direct email ads, pay per click ads,
customer testimonials, staff interviews, pop-up/under ads,
rich-media ads and skyscrapers. Take these suggestions and use
them as a starting point. Once you really get thinking outside
of the box a great deal of ideas will come your way to improve
the way you conduct your affiliate marketing campaigns. These
ideas will go a long way in making your affiliate marketing
efforts a tremendous success.

How To Choose An Affiliate Programme Out Of So many

Author: Radiance Johnson

Everyday we are bombarded with all kinds of affiliate
programmes promising heaven and earth and claiming to be your
ultimate recipe for financial success. There are several
ingenious marketers who are daily releasing programmes that
appear to be the answer you need to embark on your journey to
financial freedom. Often times, you are rudely shocked to
realize that the programme you have joined is far from what you
had expected and that your financial investments have gone down
the drain.

Hence the need to ask questions. Let me repeat that it is
absolutely necessary for you to ASK a ton of questions before
you join any affiliate programme as it will save you avoidable
heartache later. Take time to conduct some modest research about
the features of the affiliate programme you are considering as
you are going to be devoting time and financial resources on it.

Some of these questions shall include whether it will cost you
anything to join. However, it is given that this will be free as
most lucrative affiliate programmes that abound today cost you
nothing to join. Therefore do not consider any programme that
requires you to make some payment prior to joining.

Next point to consider will be the hit- per- sale ratio. In
other words how many hits to a banner or text link will you have
to record to record a sale? This is important because it will
assist you to work out the traffic level that is required to
generate a given desired number of sales. And of course it has a
direct bearing on the amount of commissions that you qualify to
be paid by the merchant.

Similarly, you will do well to find out when your earned
commission checks will be ready for collection and how often you
will be paid in a month. How many sales will you have to record
to be entitled for a commission check? What is the minimum
amount required for the commission check to be issued? Anyway,
you have to choose the option that you feel is the most suitable
to you.

The next question for which you must find an answer before you
decide on any affiliate programme is the accuracy of the
tracking system. How are referrals from an affiliate's site
tracked? Will the tracking system remain long enough such that
when ever a prospect that you refer decides to purchase several
weeks later you will still be credited with that sale? You must
therefore find a programme that has a good tracking system that
has this capacity.

Another important parameter that you should also consider is
the group of affiliate statistics that are available to you from
the merchant processing system. Such statistics should be
detailed covering all relevant indices and available online real
time 24/7. This will assist you in determining and monitoring
your progress or lack thereof. Naturally, you will be very much
interested in the average daily hits, impressions, sales and the
like as these data are important in deciding whether you should
modify your ads, banners etc.

You can also, depending on the nature of the affiliate
programme, find out whether you can also be paid for hits and
impressions in addition to the sales recorded. This is
particularly important where the programme you are associated
with offers low sales – to- hit ratio.

A very important consideration in choosing your affiliate
programme is the percentage of commission that is paid out to
the affiliates per sale. Considering the fact that it costs
virtually the same effort and financial resources to promote
your affiliate programmes you must insist on reasonably adequate
commission payments. 50% appears to be the dominant practice
these days but anything higher will be appreciated.

Similarly, is the affiliate programme a one-tier or two-tier
programme? A one-tier affiliate programme pays you only for the
sale that you personally generate while the two-tier programme
pays you for the business generated by your sponsored affiliate.

Infact, some programmes even pay what could be termed
recruitment fees in order to inspire affiliates to exert
themselves in getting more sign-ups.

It is equally important to try and know your merchant better.
Determine if they are a solid company and their basic line of
business and their products. Your research should also assist
you to determine their relative standing in that particular
niche and how easy it would be for you to successfully market
their product and make some money in the process.

All said, these are only some of the basic questions you must
find answers to before you jump into any particular affiliate
programme. They are by no means exhaustive but are only supposed
to provide with the basic guidance you need before making your
choice out of the cacophony of claims and promises that abound
on the internet. Whatever the case, however, you must be ready
to work your business to success like many have been able to
achieve and are financially happier for it.

Secrets of HTML Tags
When creating your websites to be W3C compliant, you know
that HTML tags are important. You will need to include
these tags throughout the pages and be sure to do them in
the proper format so that your pages come out the way that
you want them to.

Here are some common html tags that you will need to know
when creating your pages. When you learn these tags, you
will be set to create compliant pages that look great and
contain all your information.

Once you have created a template for the layout of your
pages, you can reuse the same one each time changing only
the specifics such as the title, the font type, color,
size, etc. these secrets to HTML tags below will help you
create your pages quickly and easily.

Head

Remember to use your head opening tag <head> and head
closing tag </head> . If you use Javascript on your
page, it will usually go here in the header section as well.

Title Tags

<title> put your keyword phrases here</title& gt;

META Tags

<meta name="description" content="this is your web page
description" />

<meta name="keywords" content="this is where your
keywords and phrases go" />

Href Tag

This is the tag that explains to your browser how to find
fonts and other items you place in your CSS or style sheets.

<link href="your-style. css" rel="stylesheet"
type="text/css" />

If you have a unique page:

<style type="text/css" > .base { font-family:
Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans serif; font-size: 10pt;
font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-weight:
normal: color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff;
text-align: left; }

Favicon

To insert your favicon, (that little icon that shows in the
browser address bar before the http:// part of the URL) use
the code below:

<link rel="shortcut icon"href="/ favicon.ico" />

This is where you will place your head closing tag
</head> , and then proceed with the body of your
document.

Body

<body> The body of your page will go in between these
tags.</body& gt; If you have multiple headlines, you
will write them as:

<h1>Headline 1</h1> <h2>Headline
2</h2> <h3>Headline 3</h3>
<h4>Headline 4</h4> <h5>Headline
5</h5>

<p>Insert your paragraph inside these tags.
</p> <em>This will add emphasis to your
type</em& gt; <strong> This creates bold
text.</strong& gt;

There are of course, many more html/xhtml tags to learn,
but when you have these important basics, you can do most
anything you want to do with your web page while still

Building Backlinks That The Search Engines Love
Author: Kevin Sinclair

Building backlinks to your website is highly recommended in the
Internet marketing community these days. This practice is especially helpful
for the purpose of drawing organic (read "free") traffic to your
website. And, if you don't have traffic to your site, you don't have much if
earning money is your goal.

By building backlink to your website, you benefit in a number of ways.
First, your placement in the search engines can improve, since the
number of backlinks pointing to a website appears to have considerable
impact on search engine ranking (love). Second, you may also attract
traffic, as visitors on the other sites see your link and click over to see
what you're offering.

The rest of this article will focus on several backlink building
methods that are great for beginners and experienced marketers alike.

Social Bookmarking

There are now literally thousands of social bookmarking sites. These
sites offer an opportunity to bookmark all of the websites (including
yours) that you find interesting and want to keep track of. Bookmarking
your site often means you're creating a backlink too.

Website Directories

These also are in great supply. These sites are storehouses for
information about all sorts of websites, sorted by topic. Many allow you to
submit your website for inclusion for free and create a backlink if your
website is accepted.

Link Exchanges

These are also known as reciprocal links. You allow me to put my link
on your website and I allow you to include your link on my site.
Reciprocal links are considered more valuable if they are placed on a website
whose theme is relevant to yours.

Blog Comments

Many blog owners welcome readers' comments in reaction to their posts.
The reader can generally include a website link along with their
comment, creating a backlink. Just watch out for blogs that include the "no
follow" tag because then the backlink won't count.

Press Releases

Submitting a press release entails writing up a short news story about
your website or some of its content. It's a who, what, when, where, and
how of something likely to be of interest to the media. As with many
of these methods, there are free and paid options. Of course you include
a link to your site in your content.

Article Marketing

Some say article marketing is the best method to draw free traffic and
ultimately lots of backlinks. The webmaster writes an article on a
topic relevant to their site and submits it to one or more article
directories with a resource box incorporating links pointing back to the
website.

Link Networks

These are typically private networks of blogs or websites on which
members can post content which includes a link to their website. Often the
blogs that are available in these networks have a fairly high page
rank, say PR5-PR7, which is an attractive feature. The value of a backlink
can increase if it is placed on a webpage with a higher page rank

Using all of these methods at the same time to create backlinks might
lead to being scattered and ineffective. If you're interested in
building links to your website, start with one method, complete it thoroughly
and then move to another.

Of course some of the techniques, like article marketing, are never
complete. There is always room for more, so intersperse this with other
link building methods. With some concerted effort you will be able to
create hundreds or thousands of backlinks to your website and really feel
the search engine love.

whether anyone joins your network marketing business.

Duplicate Content - How To Beat Duplicate Content Penalties When

Author: Elaine Currie

Duplicate Content - How To Beat Duplicate Content Penalties When Publishing Articles Online
The talk about duplicate content penalties often creates
misunderstanding in the minds of inexperienced webmasters
who end up with the impression that their whole website
will be de-indexed if it contains a phrase to be found
elsewhere online. Some of them get the idea that if their
websites include pages containing other people's articles,
the weight of the penalties imposed on those pages will
drag their whole website down into obscurity. This is not
how the duplicate content penalty works; it's brutal but
not quite that brutal.

One reason why search engines filter duplicate content is
to keep search results free from unhelpful duplication.
Therefore, any web page that has a significant amount of
text that already exists online, will not make it to the
top of search results.

(This avoids the situation where a search would bring up
pages and pages of the same "cookie cutter" websites.) So,
if you write an article and submit it for publishing at 100
online article directories, even though it might show up on
page one of a Google search, the search won't produce a
result consisting of 100 instances of your article (ie one
at each of the web directories where it is posted) in the
first 10 pages. In the case of a recently published
article, it might appear several times in a search result
but, over time, most of the duplicate entries will be
weeded out and moved to the supplemental index (aka "Google
Hell").

In theory the way duplicate content filters work (I say "in
theory" because the system is far from 100% perfect) is
that the website where the article was first posted will be
recognised as the original. So, if you write an article and
want to get your website in the search results and you also
want to distribute your article to article directories, you
need to make sure the search engines know where they saw it
first. The way to do this is to post the article on your
website, wait a few days and then check by doing searches
with the major search engines to see if your page has been
indexed. Once you know the search engines have indexed your
page, you can submit your article to the article
directories.

Make sense so far? Here comes the part that makes the
system less than 100% perfect. Google's filters don't take
the date of first online publication of an article into
account when deciding which website has the best claim to
the article. They use the number of links back to a website
to ascertain the importance of any website carrying the
article. So, if your article is published on a high ranking
article directory, you will most likely find that is what
will appear in a search result while your web page
containing the original of your article has been demoted to
the supplemental index.

Is there a way to get your web pages recognised as being
original? Yes, by having unique content. Is there a way to
rescue your web pages from Google Hell? Yes, the way
things (ie Google's famous secret algorithms) work at the
moment, this can be achieved by building up the number of
links back to your web pages so Google will recognise your
website as being too "important" for Google Hell.

Top Guru Secrets Exposed
Author: Chris Rohrer

Did you ever wonder to your self how all those gurus out there are
making all their money? I know I did when I first started working online,
and that was part of the reason I kept digging so hard to find the key
to making money online. However that is the problem. Most people think
there is some big secret or key to making money online, and there really
is not one.

Once you get passed all the hype that is offered on the Internet and
take a look beyond that you will find how to make real money online, and
that is why I am hear today to spill the beans on some top guru secrets
that most people will not tell you about, and once you hear them you
will be shocked!

So lets move on. Guru secret number one, how to draw traffic to your
website. Well its simple advertise. Where? Well you should post ads
anywhere and everywhere. The best bang for your buck will be Google adwords.
Now I will not lie you, you will need to spend money in adwords to
make money. I spend close to three thousand a month in adwords but in
return I make forty thousand.

I hear people all the time say they do not have the money to spend in
adwords. Well adwords is where the money is at and to make it you just
need to get over your fear and go all in and spend money on the big
keywords.

Guru secret number two, the money is in the list. How many times did
you hear someone say that? I am sure you heard it a lot, and it is very
true. Your list means money for you all the time. If you are not
building a list you are not going to make any money. How do you build a list?
Well by using what is called a lead capture page. Simply send traffic
to it collect the users name, email, and phone number. Then send them
emails about your business opportunity.

After a year or so you will come to find that you have a list of well
over a thousand some people all looking to make money online, and
waiting for you to tell them how.

Guru secret number three, making money online is just a numbers game.
Yep making money using a computer is not hard. It is all just about
numbers. The more traffic you send to a site the more money you will make.
It is that easy.

Guru secret number four, brand your self not the business or someone
else. In any business lets face it you need to make a name for your self
so you stand out from others. How do you do this? Make a website that
talks about you and your business opportunity, and explain to people how
you can help them make money.

If you promote your sponsors website all your doing is promoting his
name. People will want to join him not you so what do they do? Well they
type his name into Google and find his website and join him not you.

What about promoting the business website you where giving when you
joined? Wrong answer. Again you are promoting the business. So all people
will do is research the business and find someone to join under.

Guru secret number five, leave a phone number and answer it when
someone calls. People want to talk to someone before they join something.
Every sale I ever made online was because I spoke to the person on the
phone, or had someone do it for me. If you want to make money you must
talk on the phone. If your not going to talk on the phone then good luck
at making money online.

So there you have it five top guru secrets and I am sure you may have
already known them or at least heard people talk about them before, but
you know what? None of that matters because more then likely you will
not take action. If you want to make money or change your life you must
take action and do something about it.

how to make easy money on the Internet

Whenever I hear someone talking about how to make easy money on the Internet, I automatically cringe. You see, until recently all of my efforts to make money on the Internet failed. I have to admit that I am somewhat gullible. In most respects, I am fairly intelligent, but I have a way of falling for scams that is quite unbecoming. There are so many things that I want to believe, and the idea that I can become rich overnight is at the top of the list. In short, I'm exactly the person who the make money online sellers target – naïve, enterprising, and just a little bit desperate.

As a matter of fact, I have tried almost every possible way to make money on the Internet. I tried selling on eBay, which did absolutely nothing for me. I was able to sell a few odds and ends that I have collected over the years, but with the amount of time that I invested in creating an eBay store, I didn't really gain enough to make it worth it. That was one of my more successful attempts to make money online too! Some of the other ones are almost too embarrassing to tell.

Of course, I tried to make money on the Internet through affiliate programs, but I never got more than a few dollars from this. I run a pretty popular blog, and I figured that I could turn all that Web traffic to my advantage. Unfortunately, although it did make a buck or two, I also alienated a lot of my readers with my attempts to make money on the web. You see, it is an environmentalist, anti-consumer blog. Seeing Internet pop-up ads on it was the last thing my readers wanted. The backlash wasn't worth a few bucks.

Come to think of it, I have been completely unable to make money on the Internet except in ways that I made money before the Internet was around. You see, I have dabbled in freelance writing for years and years. The Internet has made it a lot easier for us freelancers. We can find work from the comfort of our own homes, and we don't have to wait for e-mails or telephone calls anymore. If you are a decent writer and pretty good at marketing yourself, this is an easy and obvious method for making money on the Internet. Nevertheless, don't start off thinking that it will make you rich overnight. It simply won't.

internet traffic

Anyone with an ecommerce site is looking for ways to get more Internet traffic. This is something that has been a problem since these types of sites first started up, and they continue to look for new ways to draw people to their sites. Some don’t even have to sell anything to make money, but the best money is indeed in selling something. Some of these sites don’t sell products, but they do have ad space that is affected by how many people come and view those ads, and sometimes a resulting sale, through a link, also means money for them.

One way to get good Internet traffic is to advertise all over the Internet. Some do this with banner ads. Pop up ads used to be the preferred method, but now that so many have pop up blockers on their computers, these are just not as affective as they use to be. Some people are so annoyed with pop ups that they refuse to visit a site that uses them for advertisement. I would imagine that if someone is really interested in what they see, this type of advertisement would indeed generate some Internet traffic, but there are better ways to go about it that might bring in much larger numbers.

Besides straight forward advertising, one of the most popular and affective ways to get Internet traffic to a site is by being sure that the site will rank high on a search engine like Google. There are many search engines online, but this is the one that seems to have the most users. However, others have pull too, so a good site will find ways to rank high on each one so that they can pull in Internet traffic. Most do this by making sure they have content that is read and recognized by the search engines, and that also has good keyword density.

If you find that you are not getting the Internet traffic that you think you should be getting, you may want to turn to someone who specializes in building and maintaining sites online for help. They know the tricks of the trade, and they can tell you why your Internet traffic might be low, and what you
